stephen

this is stephen. he is 1½ years old and is just plain sweet. his smile and eye contact melt your heart at first sight. he is quieter in a group setting, not needing to be the spotlight; he loves, however, being the recipient of someone’s one-on-one attention.

stephen has cerebral palsy, and the right side of his body is more impaired than the left. while reaching, grasping and manipulating for toys is much easier for his left hand, he is learning to use his right hand as well.

despite stephen's physical challenges, he is smart, extremely self-motivated and hard-working. he always finds a way to get to whatever it is that he has his eye on, typically with some combination of rolling and army crawling. we have been working on independent sitting and hands-and-knees crawling during therapy.

i'd love for stephen to get a forever family that could provide the necessary therapies that he is eligible for. i definitely see potential in all areas of development that are, unfortunately, difficult to optimize in this setting.

stephen needs a forever family!
